ホルモンについて～レプチン～

『レプチン』

脂肪細胞から分泌されるホルモン。受容体は主に脳の視床下部にある満腹中枢に存在。

レプチンは満腹中枢を刺激すると、食欲を抑制するほか、エネルギー消費量を増加させる作用がある。

食べる量を減らし、体に蓄えられた脂肪を減らすことから『瘦せホルモン』とも呼ばれている。

 

●レプチンを効果的に働かせるために必要なこと

①適正体重の維持⇒レプチンは適正な体重の維持に働いていると考えられているため、肥満状態の人の場合、レプチンが効きにくい状態になってしまう。

②基礎代謝を上げる⇒1日の総消費エネルギー量の6～7割を占める基礎代謝量を高めると効率的に肥満を解消することができる。

 

レプチンを効果的に体内で活用するためには、肥満を予防・改善していく必要があります。

※レプチン抵抗性とは、体にレプチンがききにくい状態を意味します。

※PTPRJとは、レプチンの受容体の活性化を抑制している酵素。

※PTPRJは、インスリンの働きも抑制している。

 

●肥満になればレプチンが効かず食欲を抑えることができなくなるだけでなく、インスリンの働きも弱まり、糖尿病の発症にもつながる恐れがあります。

“Leptin”

A hormone secreted by fat cells. Receptors are mainly located in the satiety center of the hypothalamus of the brain.
When leptin stimulates the satiety center, it suppresses appetite and increases energy expenditure.
It is also called the “fat hormone” because it reduces the amount of food eaten and reduces the fat stored in the body.
● What is necessary for leptin to work effectively
(1) Maintaining an appropriate body weight⇒ Since leptin is thought to work to maintain an appropriate body weight, it is difficult for leptin to work in obese people.
(2) Increase basal metabolism⇒ Obesity can be efficiently eliminated by increasing the basal metabolic rate, which accounts for 6~7% of the total daily energy consumption.
In order to effectively utilize leptin in the body, it is necessary to prevent and improve obesity.
* Leptin resistance means that it is difficult for the body to receive leptin.
* PTPRJ is an enzyme that suppresses the activation of leptin receptors.
* PTPRJ also suppresses the action of insulin.
● If you become obese, not only will leptin not work and you will not be able to suppress your appetite, but the action of insulin will also weaken, which may lead to the development of diabetes.
